Editorial Policy

Last updated: July 9, 2026

This page describes exactly how content on ZoneMade is produced, because we believe you should know how the guide you are reading came to be. The short version: drafts are prepared with the help of AI writing tools, and every article is then reviewed, edited, and fact-checked by a human editor before publication. Nothing is published automatically.

What we cover and why

We publish practical guides about home organization, storage, and garage projects. Topics are chosen from real reader problems: how much projects cost, which storage systems are worth buying, and how to make small spaces work harder. We deliberately avoid topics that require licensed professional judgment, such as medical, legal, or financial advice.

How articles are drafted

We use AI language models as a drafting tool, in the same way many newsrooms use them for research assistance and first drafts. Each draft is produced from a detailed brief that specifies the topic, the angle, required structure, and sourcing requirements. The AI draft is the beginning of our process, never the end of it.

Human review before publication

Every draft goes through a human editing pass before it can be published. The editor:

Our publishing system keeps an audit log of the editing applied to each article, and drafts that do not meet our quality bar are sent back or discarded.

Sourcing and statistics

When a guide cites a statistic, survey, or standard, we name the source. We prefer primary sources: manufacturer specifications, industry associations, government data, and published studies. If we cannot verify a number, we do not publish it.

Products and advertising

We do not accept sponsored posts, paid product placements, or free products in exchange for coverage. Product mentions reflect our own comparisons. The site is intended to be funded by clearly labeled display advertising (Google AdSense); advertisers have no visibility into, or influence over, editorial decisions.

Corrections

When we learn of a material error, we correct the article promptly and update its "Updated" date. If you spot an error, email hello@zonemade.com with the article title and the claim in question. We take correction reports seriously and respond to every one.

Dates and updates

Each article shows its original publication date and, when substantively revised, an updated date. Periodic reviews keep costs and product recommendations current.
